Agency Born, Agency Raised
Media Link Software® was developed by the advertising agency, Media Link, Inc., in 2010. Necessity is the mother of invention, and when Media Link couldn’t find a media-buying software package that worked for the agency, Media Link President, Natalie Linville-Mass, knew she had to invent a new media buying software package.
The media-buying software industry has always needed a platform for the type of buyer who is primarily focused on getting the most out of every buy,” says Natalie. “I wanted to make sure there was an alternative software for our industry with tools for every type of media and the ability to cross-compare media for a better analysis of a multi-layered campaign.”
At Media Link Software®, we are proud to offer one of the first media-buying software systems designed by an agency. With by buyers, for buyers” as our motto, Media Link Software® was designed to be useful to the buyer who’s interested in all forms of media. This gives us the opportunity to continually improve Media Link Software® based on our own experience, as well as the experience and needs of the agencies using our software.
Media Link Software® was the first software package to break up a duopoly dominating the media-buying software industry for years. I felt it was essential to have a tool with as much of a focus on broadcast as publications, outdoor and digital,” Natalie says. “I kept searching for an affordable option with these capabilities, along with industry support to better understand what we truly needed. I knew someone could do better. So, why couldn’t that someone be us? I am pleased to see other platforms respond by also becoming more inclusive and more transparent in pricing and capabilities.”
Media Link Software® launched in 2010, and the first public version of the software went out the following year, with updates regularly rolling out ever since. Many Media Link Software® features added through the years have come at customer requests.
