That definition sounds simple enough, and yet within the simplicity of this definition is an array of choices and decisions, where we’ve found everyone goes about the media buying process in a different way. It’s one of the reasons our job is never boring with Media Link Software®.

For example, the Outdoor Module allows you to check which side of the freeway a billboard is located. You can adjust your buys based on the number of eyes passing that billboard at a certain time of day, such as rush hour. So, you can choose which side of the road to place an ad buy to make sure drivers aren’t looking into the sun when they see your billboard.
Other media buyers may place some buys based on experience and instinct. On the TV Module, a new show may not have an established audience, but an experienced buyer may have an inkling as to opportunities to reach a new audience through that show. We may refer to these as “hunches,” but usually a hunch is rooted in the buyer’s years of experience.
